Corrections and additions
This extra edition of HAH is to explain a few errors and omissions from the August issue.
Early rainbow
First, Barbara Nguyen’s photo of the rainbow was taken Tuesday, July 16 at the unusual hour of 6 a.m. That’s really newsworthy, so here it is again:
Grocery fundraiser
The Denver Chapter is promoting a program by King Soopers, in which shoppers using a shopper’s card (the card you swipe to get a discount) can generate a contribution to the chapter with each purchase. As secretary Marilyn Weinhouse explains it:
You can help our Chapter by joining the King Soopers Community Rewards Program. There is NO COST to you. Just follow this link to sign up: https://www.kingsoopers.com/i/community/community-rewards
Look for our organization name: Hearing Loss Association of America-Denver Chapter and our organization number: DH281
King Soopers will donate to the HLAA-Denver Chapter based on the shopping you do every day. Once you link your Card to our Chapter, all you have to do is shop at King Soopers and swipe your Shopper’s Card.
No September issue
I will be recovering from hip implant surgery for a few weeks in August and September, so will not be out and about gathering information for the next issue. I’ll be at my laptop, however, so please send me news and photos you think I should follow up on. See you on the other side!—Paula
I enjoy the Newsletter so that is why I like to contribute.
